Inside the VCR
Inside the V2080 shows many hall marks
of Philips construction. The style of construction is similar to
that used in the manufacture of the NV1500 series VCR.
Indeed it would appear that the same production line might well
have been used. If you look carefully at the
cables which inter-connect the PCB's you can see the large
plugs and sockets which suffer badly from dry joints.
Video Heads
If the VCR suffers from mistracking first check the voltage
drive to the piezo-electric crystals used in the Dynamic Tracking
circuits. Video heads for V2000 machines are now rare and extremely
difficult to obtain.
